When She's Walking Buy Your Side/ You can't remember a time- When she wasn't by your side- You can't remember a place- Where you couldn't feel it inside Yea maybe there's a way You could put it into words It should be easy to explain- It's just a boy and girl- Something happens when she walks into the room It's in her eyes-its in her smile -in the smell of that perfume Don't the lights shine much brighter when she's walking by your side Don't the stars look like diamonds when she's walking by your side- Sometimes you can't understand How it ended up this way Something this good Doesn't come everyday Yea maybe there's a way You could put it into words It should be easy to explain- It's just a boy and girl-

I’ve Been On My Knees Take the fall hit the ground I don't care how far down I’ve been on my knees- I've been on my knees the days are dark the nights are long no one but me can see whats' wrong I've been on my knees I've been on my knees I'm not begging for forgiveness I'm not looking for redemption Cause i''m running out of time Another drink- through splintered glass you can't escape anything in your past I end up on my knees- I've been on my knees I'm not screaming for attention I lost my voice years ago And all I feel is apprehension Am D it never feels like letting go Finish out- that cigarette And let it steal- your last dying breath

(It all falls)Down on Me Black ice- you never see it coming It knocks you right off of your feet So nice- the way she leaves you breathless Your heart is always skipping a beat Like a vision in a movie- a pretty little angel Something from a fashion magazine Gets your motor running- can’t you hear it humming Everytime she walks down the street She keeps me waiting just a little while longer She keeps me waiting and the feelings getting stronger She keeps me waiting and don’t think I can hold on at all (when her love comes) down on me It all falls- around me It all comes- down on me I can put my finger on it Can’t wrap my heart around it So nice- that pretty little smile shining from the corners of her eyes Like a long legged highway- wish that she’d walk my way Wanna take her out for a ride The way she turns her head -the things you wish you said You’re pinning every hope on your sleeve But you just can’t stop it - keep her picture in a locket but you know you’ll end up down on your knees-

She ran hard out of Louisiana she let her hair fly back in the breeze Her eyes were steel grey diamonds That could bring you to your knees Somewhere out on 61 She needed shelter from the storm We were lost as wind did blow around us We kept each other warm- But there was to much road debris Getting in our way I should have known as the miles drifted by She wasn't gonna stay Now all I've got is a handful of rain- All I've got is a handful of rain All I've got is a handful of rain- to wash away my tears She used to love a guy from near Lake Charles The kinda love that hit her hard There was always something behind her smile She never showed all her cards- She loved to drop the top down And let the sun change her skin But no matter how hot it got outside There was something burning more within When the rains cut through that summer night It ran the colors from her dress And the dreams she had all washed away And she felt like nothing was left I don't know why i let her walk away I never thought she would really go The things that kept on pulling her back Are the things I'll never know------

Rafferty Train C9-Am7 He’s has a ticket- and looks across the tracks He’s got no direction- but he’s never turning back F Em Dm Em There’s some one on the train, heading for the same place- He’ll see it in her eyes- He’ll know it on her face F (come up with passing chord) G——C9-Am7 And he slides into a seat- On the train to Rafferty- On the Rafferty train- There’s a story- In a movie that she saw About a place she could run to, but she never knew how far- She has a romance novel- in the bottom of her purse- She never thought her life could go from bad to worse And she finds herself a seat- On the train to Rafferty- Bridge Fmaj9 G6 And the train starts moving- down the line Leaving everyone’s past behind Don’t know what you’re going to find FEmDm G But it’s gonna be different- different - this time it’s gonna be different - They take the tickets- and they roll on down the track The same direction- No one’s ever turning back There’s some one on the train, heading for the same place- They’ll see it in their eyes- They’ll know it on their face They’re sharing the same seat- On the train to Rafferty- On the Rafferty train-

Baby Put a Dress On C’mon get ready-It’s Friday night Been working all week long and time is tight I cashed my paycheck-filled up the tank Roll down the windows girl and let the music crank Bridge: There’s a place by the highway where a band is playing all night long- Don’t be a wallflower don’t you keep me waiting here to long- Yea- baby put a dress on - fix your hair up pretty We’re going to a party at the Firecracker Lounge I’m gonna drink some whisky-shoot a few tequilas Put a dollar in the jukebox and spin you all around You can bring your sister-and her girlfriends You know a night like this should never end Tell your mama- not to wait She needs her beauty rest-she shouldn’t stay up late

Wound-Up Woman She jumps behind the wheel of a black El Camino Jams an 8-track tape in the slot It runs a little funny-she donʼt want to spend the money E (HIT) To fix the brakes and the body rot She bought it from the local funeral parlor With a check and an I.O.U. She pays off her Visa with her Master Card And the rent comes two months due Sheʼs a wound up woman turn the sound up woman You know itʼs gonna be alright Sheʼs a wound up woman turn the sound up woman Somethingʼs gonna happen baby cause itʼs Saturday night Sheʼs running through the trailer park-lookinʼ for some Aqua-Net She wantʼs to tease up her hair Squeeze into a mini-skirt, lookinʼ like a little flirt Her fishnets have got a tear She wants to work as a waitress at the Hooters bar But the boss says sheʼs way too old A little dabʼll do ya- but the clock is gonna screw ya When you still want to rock and roll She gave up looking for her own prince charming so many years ago In & out of every honky tonk in town -kissing her share of toads There was Tommy at the bakery, Billy at the factory She left them both singinʼ the blues Every drive by trucker turns into a sucker And her nameʼs on a hundred tatoos You canʼt pin her down when sheʼs on the town- Sheʼs up until the evening ends And every weekend night in a dress so tight Sheʼs gonna do it over again

Well I don’t know what I’m trying to find -When all I’ve done is lost my way And I can’t seem to say the right things-And there really isn’t anything to say And I never kept track of time-Cause you can’t shake the hands of a clock And all the weight that I have on my mind-Are all the things you never can drop And the late winter wind feels cold as ice And summers not as close as it seemed And I feel like I’ve gotten lost In someone else's dream Yea I feel like I’ve lost my way in someone else's dream They said the road that lay ahead-was full of things I should learn to fear Now I watch them fade away-I’m still standing here And I try hard to forget-All the things that they made me learn All the words and all the pages- were in those books that I should've burned

Rockin' in the Moonlight Baby can you hear me- thrown' stones at your window Baby can you hear me- lightly tappin' on your door I so enjoyed the dance we had together Now i'm standing in the moonlight praying' for something so much more I stole away and I danced with you - on the floor it was just us two You made a promise that later that night that we'd go Rockin in the moonlight- Rockin in the moonlight Rockin in the moonlight- Rockin in the moonlight You couldn't get away from the boy that you came with I couldn't get away from the girl I brought there too I dropped her off and I left her at her front door Now I'm standing in the moonlight praying' for something so much more So angel don't you leave me here tonight- the night's so clear & the moon is just right All it's gonna take is a step outside and we'll go- Rockin in the moonlight- Rockin in the moonlight Rockin in the moonlight- Rockin in the moonlight

She keeps her lingerie all tucked away in the back of her dresser drawer No need for it to see the light of day- she doesn’t use it anymore He falls down hard on a lazyboy, cracks a beer with the TV on A few more drinks and he drifts away-and another night is gone Am-Em Watch it all fade away- Watch it all fade away She sneaks a drink in the laundry room by 10-the kids are smok- ing dope in the yard The bills stack up three months unpaid-how did life ever get so hard Watch it all fade away- Watch it all fade to gray- For former femme fetales and romeos-that’s how life is that’s how life goes For former femme fetales and romeos-that’s how life is that’s how life goes Femme fetales and Romeos He almost has a heartattack running for the train-Getting to a job he can’t stand It’s funny how the way things all turned out- wasn’t what they both had planned Watch it all fade away- Watch it all fade to gray-
